New super mario bros. wii sold over 900,000 units 1st week in japan

Between december 3-6 the game sold 936,734 copies. It even topped Super smash brothers brawl which sold 820,000 copies during its 1st week in japan.

Update: Nintendo announced that so far 2 million copies of the game have been sold in the US.
